Over €700,000 in European funding for K-Motors

K-Motors

K-Motors develops plug-and-play buffer energy storage modules compatible with all lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles.

Fund the launch of a new pilot production line

As the company was experiencing rapid growth, K-Motors wanted to open its first factory to produce its innovative technology on a large scale.

Faced with significant capital expenditures, the company had identified a call for proposals from the Just Transition Fund (FTJ)—a European program managed by the Region and reserved for companies in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.

K-Motors turned to Dynergie to maximize its chances of success and secure this strategic public funding

our response

Strategic and Operational Structuring

Dynergie supported K-Motors through every key step in securing this strategic European grant:

  • Confirm the project's eligibility with the funding agencies from the outset.
  • Comprehensive preparation of the FTJ application, drawing on in-depth expertise in European programs.
  • Strategic selection of the optimal aid scheme to maximize the amount received.
  • Technical and financial structuring in accordance with the requirements of the Just Transition Fund.
  • Coordination with the Region to streamline communication and anticipate needs.
  • Leveraging ERDF experience to ensure deliverables and expedite the application review process.

The results

€700,000 grant secured:

A grant covering 50% of the project, or €700,000

Accelerating industrialization:

Securing funding quickly allowed K-Motors to begin setting up its factory as soon as possible and to start hiring several people to support this expansion.

In conclusion.

This great success is creating jobs in the region and funding a production line with a reduced carbon footprint. This initiative is fully in line with Dynergie’s mission: to accelerate innovation and support major economic and societal transformations.

Nelson Lukes

Chief Executive Officer

The Dynergie teams identified the FTJ grant with a full understanding of the challenges facing K-Motors during its industrialization phase. When putting together the application, Dynergie’s technical expertise was decisive in this project, which was designed to follow the critical path of industrialization. Another major advantage was their knowledge of the methodologies used by public decision-making bodies, which was a great help, providing peace of mind and a clear vision throughout the process. Well done, Team Dynergie—Raphael & Julia.
