Fostering a Culture of Innovation

HAROPA PORT

HAROPA PORT is the river-sea port of the Seine corridor, managing port operations for the ports of Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris.

Encourage the implementation of innovative projects at every level of the organization

As one of Europe’s largest port complexes, HAROPA PORT faces significant challenges in its transformation efforts to enhance the region’s appeal and economic development, contribute to the reindustrialization of the Seine Corridor, and reduce its environmental impact.

To achieve this, HAROPA PORT aims to make innovation a central part of its corporate culture and has engaged Dynergie to support it in this process of driving change through innovation tailored to the organization’s key challenges.

our response

Identify areas for developing HAROPA PORT’s culture of innovation.

Dynergie's support was structured around the following steps:

1. Strategic Alignment of HAROPA PORT’s Innovation Vision: An internal assessment and benchmarking phase focused on innovation practices at other ports to define the strategic priorities for developing an innovation culture at HAROPA PORT

2. Practical implementation of these strategic priorities: A series of workshops designed to generate ideas and collaboratively develop solutions to foster a culture of innovation among employees.

3. Communication initiatives: A conference and initial communication efforts to launch the initiative internally and identify the first ambassadors for the initiative.

4. A roadmap outlining the procedures for implementing initiatives to foster a culture of innovation.

The results

Fostering a culture of shared innovation

Employee involvement in the proposed initiatives (interviews, workshops, feedback sessions, etc.).

Engage and involve employees

The diversity of ideas raised and the extent to which participants engaged with the topics, as well as the quality of discussions and feedback during the conference, workshops, and surveys.

Identify concrete, actionable steps

Numerous actionable ideas were identified following the workshops; the innovation process has been integrated into the discussions of the executive committee and managers; and volunteers have been mobilized to lead or support these initiatives over the long term.

In conclusion.

This project marks a key milestone in the cultural transformation of a major French company, which is poised to tackle the economic, industrial, and environmental challenges of the future through innovation.

Jérôme Besancenot

Director of Information Systems

Born from the merger of the three ports of Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris, HAROPA PORT has placed innovation at the heart of its corporate strategy, viewing it as a key driver for enhancing its appeal and competitiveness on the international stage. As part of a pilot group, Dynergie dynamically and professionally led a team of internal stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and structure ideas, with the goal of fostering a culture of innovation among employees. The roadmap developed at the conclusion of this work provides greater clarity regarding the actions that will be implemented within the company.
