Emergence of data use cases at the Ministry of the Interior

Innovation and Data Sub-Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior (SDID)

The Innovation and Data Division of the Ministry of the Interior supports its various departments by providing a framework as well as technological and methodological foundations to improve the daily work of staff and create better services for citizens.

Background & Objectives

As part of the transformation of the Ministry of the Interior, the SDID aims to foster a culture of innovation, adopt new working methods, and adapt its internal processes.

SDID has therefore planned a series of events aimed at fostering cultural integration and fostering innovation, and sought support to ensure these events are successful.

The objectives of the mission were to:

  • Coordinate, organize, and facilitate the three events in the innovation series organized by the SDID: UX Days, Data Days, and the Innovathon,
  • Transfer event facilitation skills related to collective intelligence to internal coaches to help teams grow,
  • Oversee innovation initiatives and support the SDID team in improving the process for supporting projects arising from the intrapreneurship program.
our response

Support for the innovation process

Dynergie’s support began with an immersion phase within the SDID teams to understand the challenges and current innovation practices. A Dynergie expert in facilitation and innovation then took charge of organizing the three events.

These events were developed in close collaboration with the SDID teams. Training sessions for internal coaches were organized in advance of the events to enhance the program.

Dynergie oversaw the development of the workshop themes, the design and preparation of the workshops, the recruitment of coaches, and on-site logistics to ensure a high-quality event experience.

The results

3 events held over 3 months.

Up to seven coaches per event over three consecutive months to lead the UX Days (September), Data Days (October), and Innovathon (November). Teams consisting of Dynergie coaches and client coaches worked together to provide high-quality support to the teams.

Unique moments of connection and sharing.

Business units that were accustomed to working in silos came together to explore opportunities for collaboration and innovation.

Concrete projects resulting from the events.

The events provided participants from various business units—who were not accustomed to such exercises—with an opportunity to experience innovation firsthand, while also identifying use cases that will be explored as part of the intrapreneurship program.

In conclusion.

Dynergie has integrated its support into a comprehensive innovation initiative, encompassing a series of events and support for the resulting intrapreneurship program.
