AI Hackathon to Drive Innovation at Bouygues

Bouygues Construction France

Bouygues Bâtiment France is a leading construction company that designs, develops, and builds a wide range of projects across all sectors of the construction industry throughout France.

Fostering AI-driven innovation through a collaborative hackathon

Bouygues Bâtiment France aims to make artificial intelligence a new driver of growth within its teams by identifying use cases and high-value-added AI solutions.

A hackathon was chosen as a way to stimulate innovation and build internal momentum around this new technology. Nine teams were tasked with designing innovative real estate projects within 24 hours using the AI tools at their disposal.

Dynergie was asked to organize and facilitate the event and ensure that the objectives regarding deliverables and the overall experience were met.

our response

Planning and facilitating an AI hackathon

Dynergie has structured its support services around four main areas:

1. Scope of AI Tools: Selection of AI tools to be used during the event, enabling participants to develop relevant real estate projects.

2. Event preparation: Developing a detailed program, onboarding participants, and coordinating with stakeholders.

3. Hackathon facilitation: Facilitating activities on the day of the event, coaching teams, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere throughout the event.

4. Capitalizing on the results: Collecting and summarizing participant feedback to assess how well the tested tools have been integrated into Bouygues Bâtiment France’s processes.

The results

A successful event

The hackathon generated strong engagement from participants and stakeholders, maintaining a dynamic atmosphere throughout the 24-hour event.

In-depth review of AI tools

The AI tools tested were evaluated based on participant feedback, which helped identify those that offer significant value to the business.

Strengthened internal momentum around AI

The hackathon has sparked a gradual adoption of AI tools by the teams, with some already in the integration phase.

In conclusion.

The hackathon organized in partnership with Dynergie enabled Bouygues Bâtiment France to test AI tools while strengthening its culture of innovation and fostering a positive momentum around these technologies within its teams.

Jihane Bennis

AI Officer

Dynergie helped us organize Bouygues Bâtiment France’s first AI Hackathon. From the very beginning, the Dynergie teams understood our challenges: introducing AI to those unfamiliar with it, creating a collaborative experience, and testing the value of AI tools for the company’s business lines. The challenge was significant: participants from all over France, external partners to coordinate, innovative and new tools to master, and both AI and business criteria to integrate. Dynergie was able to adapt to these challenges. Their support allowed us to move forward in record time and with confidence. At every stage of the process, their contribution ensured a result whose quality was universally praised!
